Born and raised in Beijing, China, Mia later migrated to NZ at age 6
She is currently in Year 13, Saint Kentigern College (East Auckland)
She was a recipient of Academic Colours for NCEA, the IB Diploma and NZQA Scholarships
Mia co-founded Asian Voices, holds a Council position at school and conducted research projects on the mental wellbeing of Asian youth
Her struggle through NZ's mental health system (including school counselling) has provided her with invaluable insights
She hopes to pursue sociology and PPE in university
