I’m Erin, a Registered Psychologist in New Zealand with over ten years of experience supporting adults from diverse cultural backgrounds. I understand that life can feel overwhelming at times, and that under stress or trauma, people may develop patterns of thinking, behaviour, and relating that no longer serve them. These patterns can contribute to emotional difficulties such as low mood, anxiety, self-doubt, guilt, or shame, and at times the use of substances as a way to cope with inner distress.
My clinical work focuses on adult trauma-related concerns, including Complex PTSD, PTSD, sexual trauma, and single-incident trauma. I provide a warm, respectful, and culturally sensitive therapeutic space, supporting clients to process traumatic experiences safely, understand their long-term impact on emotions and relationships, and gradually rebuild a sense of stability, safety, and control in their lives.
I am fluent in both Mandarin and English. My therapeutic approach is collaborative and individualised, grounded in evidence-based practice. I primarily work with Schema Therapy, Eye movement desensitization reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), integrating these approaches according to each client’s needs, pace, and stage of recovery.
